A new academic journey began as students arrived for Camou Academy Orientation Day, marking their first official introduction to the college community.

The programme welcomed the October 2025 intake through a combination of introductions, group activities, team challenges and messages from the college’s leadership and lecturers.

Orientation was designed to help new students become more comfortable with their environment before beginning their formal classes.

Beginning the Creative Media Student Experience

The first day of a creative media student experience can feel exciting and unfamiliar.

Students enter with different interests, personalities and levels of experience. Some may already know which creative field they want to pursue, while others are still discovering their strengths.

During Camou Academy Orientation Day, icebreakers and team activities encouraged students to communicate, collaborate and begin forming connections with their classmates.

These early interactions are important because creative education frequently requires teamwork across different disciplines.

Welcoming the October 2025 Intake

Members of the October 2025 intake were introduced to Camou’s learning culture, expectations and multidisciplinary approach.

They also heard messages from the principal and lecturers, who shared guidance about the journey ahead.

The orientation reminded students that progress does not require them to have every answer on the first day. What matters is their willingness to learn, experiment and continue developing.

More Than a First Day

A meaningful creative media student experience extends beyond attending classes.

Students will be expected to participate in projects, respond to feedback, work with others and gradually develop a professional portfolio.

Camou Academy Orientation Day provided the foundation for that experience by helping students understand that they were entering a creative community rather than only an academic programme.

For the October 2025 intake, orientation represented the first step towards new skills, new friendships and a clearer creative direction.
