Camou College of Creativity recently welcomed an international film production team, giving students and alumni the opportunity to explore a potential Hollywood-grade film production internship in Malaysia.
Held at Iskandar Malaysia Studios, the session introduced participants to the professional structure, departments and working expectations behind a large-scale film production.
Producer John Radel and Production Designer Paul shared information about the upcoming film project, The Good Samaritan, while speaking directly with aspiring filmmakers and media artists.

Learning from International Film Professionals
An international film production experience allows students to understand how professional productions operate beyond the classroom.
During the session, participants learned that filmmaking depends on close collaboration between multiple creative and technical departments.
These departments include directing, production, camera, lighting, storyboarding, production design, costume, hair and makeup, stunts and special effects.
Students also had the opportunity to ask questions, communicate with the production representatives and consider which departments matched their interests and abilities.
This international film production experience helped participants understand that professional filmmaking requires more than technical knowledge.
It also depends on discipline, communication, adaptability, teamwork and a willingness to learn.
Film Industry Exposure at Iskandar Malaysia Studios
The event provided meaningful film industry exposure at Iskandar Malaysia Studios.
Instead of learning through a fictional production exercise, students were introduced to the expectations surrounding a real international-standard film project.
A Hollywood-grade film production internship in Malaysia can help students understand how their existing creative skills may contribute to a professional production environment.
It can also give them a clearer view of the responsibilities involved in working with experienced production teams.
The opportunity was extended to both current students and alumni, reflecting Camou’s effort to support creative development beyond graduation.
Preparing Students for Professional Production
The session represented more than an industry briefing.
It gave participants a realistic understanding of how productions are organised and how different departments work towards the same creative objective.
Through direct film industry exposure at Iskandar Malaysia Studios, students were able to connect their education with possible professional pathways.
For aspiring filmmakers, a Hollywood-grade film production internship in Malaysia can become an important step towards building confidence, gaining practical awareness and preparing for future opportunities.
By connecting students and alumni with working film professionals, Camou continues to create a learning environment where creative education is connected to real productions, real expectations and real industry possibilities.
