At Camou Academy, we encourage students to stay active, and we treasure every interaction and bonding moment with them.
Back in February, while we were still free from the threat of the pandemic, our student community manager, Ms. Belle, organised a sport session involving Camou staff, friends and students at a basketball court near the academy.
Captain Ball is a game similar to basketball that greatly requires teamwork. Through it, we interact with teammates and plan strategies that favour the team, thinking about each member’s strengths and weaknesses and how to support one another to score points.
Does it sound familiar? The same concept applies in daily life, whether you are a student or a working adult. As a team leader, how do you place each member in a position that plays to their strengths, and cover each other’s weaknesses to bring out the greatness of the entire team?
Through this game we laughed, we sweated, we talked, and we built our relationships together. Beyond the game, we gained friendships, practised communication, and learned to encourage each other even when we lose a point. It was a great session — and we look forward to many more!
