LET'S BE A CAPTAIN!

In Camou Academy, we encourage students to stay active and we treasure every interaction and bonding moment with our students.

Back in February, while we are still free from the threat of the pandemic outbreak, our student community manager, Ms. Belle has conducted a sport session involving all Camou staffs, Camou’s friends, and students in a basketball court that is near to the academy.

Captain Ball is a game similar to basketball, that greatly requires teamwork between members. Through this game, we are required to interact with our team members, and plan out a strategy that favors our team. This activity also encourages us to think of what are the weaknesses or strengths of each member, and how we can support each other in order to score points.

Does it sound familiar? The same concept applies in our daily life, regardless you are a student or a working adult. Each of the team members might be strong in certain aspects, but weak in other aspects. As a team leader, how do you place each member in a position that allows the individual to perform his or her strength? And how do you cover each other’s weaknesses to bring out the greatness of the entire team? While we understand that each of us carries different talents, do we tolerate each other’s weaknesses and help out each other to overcome the weaknesses?

Through this game, we laughed, we sweated, we talked to each other, we built our relationships together. However, we also gained something beyond the game! We gain friendships, we practice communication skills, we learn to encourage each other even if we lose the point!

It was a great session and we are looking forward to more in the coming future!
